The Dead Pool, revisited.

I thought it was about time I revisited The Dead Pool. To save you the bother of checking yourself, I’ll just tell you that in the 18 months since my original post, not one of my 5 has died. That’s a pretty poor show to be fair. Their aim at kicking the bucket is about as good as a Scotland strikers in a crucial World Cup qualifier.

 

If you look at recent deaths then who would have guessed Michael Jackson? Even though the official verdict is Murder, it was still a bit of a surprise when you’d expect him to be on the up with his O2 concerts coming along.

 

So am I going to have any real change in tactics? Should I choose celebs who are under 70 years old to make it more difficult? Well considering that 4 out of my 5 original guesses are well over 70 and still going strong, I’m not exactly sure that’ll make much of a difference, but here goes anyway, in no particular order. I am going to avoid the obvious seriously ill cancer sufferers as, well, where’s the fun in that?

 

1. Kerry Katona. An overdose waiting to happen. She’ll soon be off to the icebox, never mind Iceland.

 

2. I’m sticking with Amy Winehouse, she let me down last year, but she’s a fall-from-a-balcony short of her one way ticket.

 

  3. Paul Gazza Gascoigne. My only surprise is that he’s still here.

 

4. Barack Obama, the secret service have to be lucky all the time, a lone gunman only has to be lucky once. As much as it’s not right, he’s a target waiting to happen.

 

5. Kenny Richey, the needle dodging child killer, lets not mess about here, he’d be no great loss and I’d be glad to see him crop up in my stats.

 

So there you are, my best guess as to who’ll be found floating on the surface of the Dead Pool in 2009/2010. Let me know who yours are.
